Periodontal Treatments (Dental Cleanings)

Periodontal Treatments (Dental Cleanings)

Periodontal treatments are one of the best ways to maintain the health of your teeth and gums. Through regular cleanings by one our dental hygienists, regular dental cleanings can prevent plaque, tartar, and bacteria from building up and causing oral infections.

Restorations (Dental Fillings)

Restorations (Dental Fillings)

Restorations, or dental fillings, are used to treat areas of tooth decay (cavities) and can also repair cracked or broken teeth.

Fixed Prosthodontics (Crown and Bridge)

Fixed Prosthodontics (Crown and Bridge)

Crowns and bridges are permanent solutions to replacing damaged or missing teeth. Crowns are hollow cap-like structures that are placed over a tooth to restore its function and esthetics. Bridges replace rows of teeth by fusing a series of crowns together and using surrounding teeth as anchors.

Removable Prosthodontics (Complete and Partial Dentures)

Removable Prosthodontics (Complete and Partial Dentures)

Dentures are designed to restore both function and esthetic for patients missing some or all their teeth in an arch. Complete dentures can be secured to the gums through suction or for added stability and comfort, implants. Partial dentures rely on anchor teeth to be secured in place.

Oral Surgery (Tooth Extractions)

Oral Surgery (Tooth Extractions)

Tooth extractions are needed in times of extreme decay, infection, crowding, or irreparable damage. Sometimes tooth extractions are also required as a preventative measure, such as the removal of wisdom teeth.

Root Canals

Root Canals

A root canal is a treatment used to remove the infected or inflamed dental pulp within the root of the tooth. This type of treatment can eliminate stubborn tooth pain and save infected teeth from causing further complications.

Dental Implant Restorations

Dental Implant Restorations

This type of restoration creates a permanent solution to missing teeth. Dental implants are inserted into the gums to act like “tooth roots.” These implants fuse with the bone overtime and are used to support crowns, bridges, and dentures.

Other Treatments

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Wisdom teeth can lead to crowding, pressure, and pain at the back of the mouth. If you're noticing any discomfort, swelling, or have been told your wisdom teeth need to be removed, Dr. Allan handles the procedure comfortably under local anesthetic. We walk you through exactly what to expect beforehand and make sure recovery is as smooth as possible. Most patients are back to their normal routine within a few days.

Oral Surgery (Tooth Extractions)

Gingival Grafting

If your gums have receded and you're dealing with sensitivity or teeth that look longer than they used to, a gingival graft can fix that. Dr. Allan will recommend gingival grafting if it is required and use a small amount of tissue to rebuild the gumline, reducing sensitivity and restoring a more natural, even appearance to your smile. It's a highly effective procedure done under local anesthetic, and most patients heal comfortably within 1–2 weeks. A great option for anyone who's noticed their gumline changing over time.

Root Canals

Minimal Sedation

Dental anxiety is more common than you might think, and it shouldn't stop you from getting the care you deserve. For patients who visit us at Dr. Low Family Dentistry and feel nervous about treatment, we offer minimal sedation: a prescribed oral medication taken before your appointment to help you feel calm and relaxed throughout your visit. Just plan to have someone drive and monitor you at home afterward. It's a simple option that makes a real difference for a lot of our patients.

Dental Implant Restorations

Snoring & Sleep Apnea Appliances

Waking up tired, snoring loudly, or restless sleep are signs that your airway may be restricted at night. For patients with snoring or mild to moderate sleep apnea, Dr. Dawson provides custom-fitted oral appliances worn during sleep that gently position the jaw to keep the airway open. They're small, comfortable, easy to travel with, and a popular alternative to CPAP machines. Better sleep makes a difference in every part of your life, and this is one of the easiest ways to get there.
